Run for Ribbons

What will you run for?
Join the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation in support of local cancer patients and their families. Run for Ribbons is a 10k, 5k, and 1mile fun run/walk community event to raise awareness and promote prevention of all forms of cancers. We also hold our RibbonFest health fair at the run.
All funds raised from this event stay LOCAL.
$25 Adults / $15 Youth (3-18yrs) if pre-registered by May 6th (t-shirt included)
$5 extra for extended size t-shirts (2XL, 3XL, 4XL), Yellow Survivor shirts only go up to 3XL.
$30 Adults / $20 youth if registering on race day (t-shirt included while supplies last)
Participants will receive a t-shirt featuring a blank ribbon. It’s the Run for Ribbons tradition to decorate it, use it to honor a memory, celebrate survival, or to simply encourage hope. Once registered for the event, t-shirts can be picked up from the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation Office after April 18th, 2016, located at 7350 W. Deschutes Ave Kennewick, WA 99336.
Race Day Schedule:
- 8:30 am Registration/Check-In Opens
- 8:30 am RibbonFest and Stage Entertainment Begins
- 9:45 am Warm-up
- 10:00 am Race Begins
RibbonFest Health Fair:
RibbonFest Health Fair focuses on cancer awareness and education. There will be education booths focused on: oral cancer, tobacco cessation, lung, breast, ovarian, prostate, testicular, brain, skin and colon cancers. Participants can make a bracelet that changes colors with UV light exposure (Skin Cancer awareness).
Mascots from several area organizations will be on hand to help kick off the walk/run.
We will have a Giant Colon walkthrough exhibit (20’ x 10’ inflatable colon). Visitors can see healthy colon tissue, tissue with non-malignant colorectal disease like Crohn’s and colitis, colorectal polyps, various stages of colorectal cancer.
RibbonFest is open to the community and offered free of charge!
