Run For Ribbons 2017

Run for Rhonda

Run For Ribbons is May 6th.

I am in running in memory of my mom, Rhonda Simmelink. I did not participate last year, as I was in a sea of emotions during this time and found it hard to find the strength. But this year, I will be out there and running/walking for my mama. Anyone is welcome to join our team. Or just come down to support the cause. Danica will be playing in the Cottonwood Marimba Band in the same location that morning -- which will be extra special.

The Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation’s annual Run For Ribbons is a 1 mile walk or 5k and 10k run. The event is a way to honor or remember a loved one who has battled or is battling cancer. The Run For Ribbons helps raise awareness and much needed funds for no-cost services provided to local cancer patients and their families. My mom received SO MANY services from the TCCC. They treated her so well, and I am so thankful for that. They have a special place in my heart.

The Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation funds a variety of no-cost services to cancer patients, their families, and the community regardless of where they are being treated. To learn more about the services they offer please visit

Thank you for considering to give a Run for Ribbons donation!
